Seeds of hope
Seeds of Hope is a fundraising campaign for Press On: The Patrick R. Chance Fund for Neuroblastoma Research. The purpose of Press On is to provide funding for clinical research relating to neuroblastoma, particularly the development of new, targeted therapies and improvements to make current therapies less toxic. Press On is a fund of CURE Childhood Cancer, Inc., Georgia's oldest 501 (c) (3) childhood cancer charity, and all profits from fundraising activities go directly to support clinical research and development.
Press On
Press On was formed in June of 2007 by native Augustans Erin and Stephen Chance. Erin and Stephen live in Atlanta with their three children, Madison (6), Patrick (5), and Anna (2). Patrick was diagnosed in June of 2006 with Stage IV neuroblastoma. Since his diagnosis, Patrick has endu
red surgery to remove his primary tumor, ten rounds of chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, three weeks of radiation at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, and eight rounds of oral chemotherapy. He is currently undergoing monoclonal antibody therapy at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan.
The Chances have often summoned the will to "press on" (Phillippians 3:12-16) during difficult times. It is through the "seeds of hope", the generosity of many, that they will be able to provide grants to scientits and physicians who are working diligently to truly provide hope for the families of children diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
